Busy Weekend

Lots of happenings this weekend. It started with a party at Grandma and Grandpa Mac's house for a gathering of Daddy Mac's clan on Friday night. As usual, it was a fun party, with great food and wonderful company. The McShorties definitely enjoy the extra attention they get from Daddy Mac's family. From that night, as promised, finally a photo of Aunt Mac and little Miss.

Mama McShortie got to feel like a real person again on Saturday, when Grandma and Grandpa Mac babysat so Aunt, Uncle, Mama and Daddy Mac could go to a movie. And then, one of Daddy Mac's aunts babysat that evening so Grandma, Grandpa, Aunt, Uncle, Mama and Daddy Mac could all go out to dinner. It was nice to have fabulous food and real adult conversation without child wrangling. Thank you to all babysitters!!

Aunt and Uncle Mac were back on the road to home Sunday, and so the McShorties went to visit Grandmother and Granddad Shortie. Mister McShortie is starting to string words together. One of his first was Sunday while looking forlornly into Grandmother Shortie's cookie jar -- "all gone" (sucker Grandmother quickly rectified the situation by a cookie baking session). Even though the Chiefs lost that day, it was not for lack of team spirit on behalf of the McShorties.
