I'm not sure exactly what triggered it, but we (little girl and her parents) decided that little Miss McShortie was ready for a big-girl bed (and to get rid of the crib). Mama has been slightly reluctant, in that she slept pretty darn well in her crib, and if it ain't broke, why fix it? However, I suppose everyone needs to grow up sometime (including Mama).
Everyone got in on the helping take the crib down.

Very happy with the new bed. It's been up for about a month now, and other than a 2 week stint when she refused to sleep in anything but a new princess tent she got for Christmas, she's been a pretty good sleeper in the new bed!
