It's a bit overdue, but the Virginia vacation did finally end, and end well. Aunt Short was a trooper and drove home with us because, frankly, I was chicken. The long and short of it is that the McShorties are really pretty good travellers, and I have a few angels in my corner. Thanks again to everyone for the good ending to this story!

Although tickling always/usually works to put someone in a better mood.
Little Miss mighthave been the only one in a good mood. Maybe she sensed we were almost home!
