rocking chair girl

Some funny photos of little Miss for a number of reasons. One, note the hula skirt again. Two, note the hands full of stuff. Anyone who watches her play notices that she is almost constantly holding some collection of toys. Three, note that the right hand holds her most prized possession -- "baby elephant." It is a blue rubber elephant-in-a-barrel bath toy. She has to take it everywhere -- to bed, to the bath, the car, all around the house. I don't understand -- it's not cuddly, nor particularly cute -- but she has been heavily attached to it for a couple of months now.

Fourth, note her playing on her "new" rocking chair. I used the chair in my childhood, and it even pre-dates that! Finally, fifth, note that she is playing with a babydoll and sitting her down to rock on the chair. That's a new, super-girly game for her. I never used to believe that boys and girls like different toys, but here she is in a house full of cars and trucks (to which my son naturally gravitated) playing with dolls.
