We had a campfire expert on staff, who taught a very interested young man the tricks of the trade.
Even Little Miss helped with the kindling (though never seemed to get the concept of hula skirts and fire don't mix--"Don't get too close to the fire, honey!"
Something nice about just staring into a fire.
We got so excited about it, that we made another one in Virginia (perhaps frightening a few neighbors along the way--wow, dry wood really makes a difference!)
