Please indulge a little detour from the little McShorties. Mama just had the wonderful opportunity to go visit Italy with her sister (Aunt Short) this past week. Aunt Short was there teaching a group of students from her college for 2 weeks, and then Mama convinced her to stay an extra week to tour around with me! I joined the end of their trip in Venice, and we also spent a couple of days in Verona. Fabulous time! Big thanks to friends and family (especially Daddy Mac) who helped watch the wee McShorties. They had such a good time that I don't think they even missed me! Here are a couple of shots from Venice:
St. Mark's Square from a boat we took up the Brenta Canal (which connects Venice to Padua) to look at the Venetian summer houses along the canal.
